ER/MALDA DIVISION*NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN’ PLEDGE ADMINISTERED ACROSS MALDA DIVISION*
Malda, August 13, 2025:
In accordance with the directives of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE), and on the occasion of the *fifth (5th) anniversary* of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the pledge of this campaign was administered across Malda Division of Eastern Railway today, 13th August 2025. The initiative aims to create mass awareness on the harmful effects of substance abuse and to foster a drug-free society.
At Divisional Headquarters, *Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta* administered the pledge to Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Malda Shri Sheo Kumar Prasad along with all present Senior Branch Officers and Railway Employees, reaffirming their commitment to contribute towards building a healthy and drug-free nation.
Simultaneously, at *Diesel Shed, Jamalpur, under the leadership of Krishna Kumar Das, Senior DME/D,* Officers and Employees actively participated in the pledge ceremony. They not only took the pledge but also expressed their commitment to the objectives of the *‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’,* vowing to raise awareness against the ill effects of substance abuse in both personal and professional life.
On this occasion, *the NGO ‘Ma Anandmayee Seva Ashram, Malda’ visited various departments offices of the Division and sensitized employees about the objectives of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ through detailed awareness interactions.* Staff from various departments of the Division participated in the online pledge through the NMBA portal and obtained their pledge certificates.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation across all units of Malda Division, reflecting the collective resolve of railway personnel to work towards a healthier workplace and society, free from the menace of substance abuse.
