In a significant push towards enhancing passenger convenience through digital initiatives, *Shri Kartik Singh, Deputy Chief Commercial Manager (Database), Eastern Railway,* conducted an inspection at Malda Town Station today. The visit aimed to promote and assess the ongoing implementation of digital ticketing systems including the ‘*UTS on Mobile’ app, Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs), and the RailOne app*.
The RailOne app has emerged as a comprehensive travel companion for unreserved ticket passengers. It facilitates seamless ticket booking through the R-Wallet and offers a 3% discount on UTS ticket purchases. Beyond ticketing, the app integrates useful features such as live train tracking, e-catering, porter booking, last-mile taxi services, and grievance redressal mechanisms, ensuring an enhanced and hassle-free travel experience.
During the inspection, Shri Kartik Singh interacted with passengers, spreading awareness about the benefits of digital ticketing and encouraging them to adopt these user-friendly, time-saving digital tools.
Additionally, Dy. CCM/ER also inspected passenger amenities items at the station, including the waiting halls, retiring rooms, and other passenger utility services. He also checked safety-related aspects and provide instructions to officials to ensure seamless and secure service delivery.
