*On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Smt. Manisha Gupta, President, Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ERWWO), Malda,* along with Vice President Smt. Rekha Devi, Secretary Smt. Niranjana Nagrale, and members of the organisation, visited the Divisional Railway Hospital, Malda. *The inauguration of the new modern Emergency Ward* was conducted through a ribbon-cutting ceremony under the presence of Smt. Anupa Ghosh, Chief Medical Superintendent. Following the inauguration, they interacted with the patients and extended warm greetings. Smt. Manisha Gupta also distributed sweets and essential daily-use items, conveying care and goodwill. The programme was attended by doctors and nursing staff.
Additionally, at *Shishu Vihar English Academy School, Malda, Smt. Manisha Gupta, President, ERWWO/Malda,* along with members of the organisation, *hoisted the National Flag* and addressed the students, inspiring them to uphold the values of patriotism and recognise their role as the pride and future of the nation. The team also witnessed a cultural programme presented by the children, which added vibrancy and joy to the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Manisha Gupta stated that ERWWO’s welfare initiatives are guided by the values of compassion, service, and inclusivity. She emphasised the organisation’s commitment to contributing not only to the welfare of railway families but also to the broader community through healthcare support, educational engagement, and cultural encouragement.
